Rhubarb Blueberry Buckle

The farm gave us some rhubarb on Saturday. I had never cooked with it and was eager to find a recipe. I made this cake for the adults to eat at Lucia's birthday party. It was devine!

some farm animals. my husband started to work on a farm three days a week. Yesterday I visted and took some pictures.

everyday she is becoming more and more like a little girl and less and less like a baby. Oh the time passes too quickly.

i go back to work full time next week and it has been weighing so heavily on my heart.

we made a crustless quiche tonight with kale from the garden and some globs of goat cheese. It was pretty good, I think it would be much better with a crust though. Maybe next time

we planted a whole bunch of seeds last weekend and today they poked their little leaves through the dirt. the kale braved the winter and has since doubled in size.

i havent photographed food we've made in a while. Tonight we had skirt steak mexican style. its our summer staple so it seemed appropriate for the warm weather we had going on today
