details from the weekend

there's something about the cold in the country that really makes you feel alive.

we decided to come out to the country for the long weekend. I had dreams of painting while I was out here, but I didn't feel like packing my supplies. Our car was already jam packed with all the fixins to keep a 6mo old happy. So far the cold temperatures have kept us inside close to the fire and cooking some nice wintry meals.

i decided to cut out some fabric for a doll/toy i want to make for my little one. i think if i break it up in stages it will be easier for me to handle. i hope this will help me to be more patient and enjoy the process rather than the end product

one of the things I'd really like to do in these 12 weeks is to make one crafty item. A stuffed toy, an apron, a pillow, anything.
