dinner

we made a crustless quiche tonight with kale from the garden and some globs of goat cheese. It was pretty good, I think it would be much better with a crust though. Maybe next time

we planted a whole bunch of seeds last weekend and today they poked their little leaves through the dirt. the kale braved the winter and has since doubled in size.

i havent photographed food we've made in a while. Tonight we had skirt steak mexican style. its our summer staple so it seemed appropriate for the warm weather we had going on today

the day has come when tiny wet fingers can pick up and eat O's. Oh the joy

oh the wonders of a mirror. my little one recently discovered the joy of playing in front of a mirror. I've had a good time catching every second of it. So far we have about 300 shots for the month of March. Do you think that's too many?

My man picked up the vase on the right for me. I don't think I've seen one like it before.

We took a walk this morning in the snow. Boy was it cold. There was no one around, but we did spot a snow sculpture on a car. Lovely! I loved to hear the crunching of the snow beneath my boots. I've missed that sound.

We got so much snow last night. We couldn't stay away from the windows, it was so beautiful to watch.

what do you do when you can't have wheat (or pork) and it's fat tuesday? why, corn meal pancakes, of course.

there's something about the cold in the country that really makes you feel alive.

we decided to come out to the country for the long weekend. I had dreams of painting while I was out here, but I didn't feel like packing my supplies. Our car was already jam packed with all the fixins to keep a 6mo old happy. So far the cold temperatures have kept us inside close to the fire and cooking some nice wintry meals.
