cafe flora

we ate lunch one day at cafe flora which is a local vegetarian resturant. Jamie got Oaxaca tacos and I got a black bean burger.

my brother made garlic shrimp (shrimp purchased from fish market) over fresh spinich fettacini from the farmers market. it was quite yummy.

future eggplant parm?

We're very impressed with our eggplant that we've grown from seed. Right now it's about the size of a silver dollar. The tomatoes are going nutso.

Pork with Prunes

This recipe is from the Silver Spoon cookbook ...best pork that mbc has ever eaten!







Stuffed Artichoke




This is a dish that my mom's family would fight over at Easter. It's just the usual italian stuffing which consists of bread crumbs, garlic, parmesan, olive oil, basil, and fresh parsley. Pour a little water into the bottom of the pot and let it simmer for a couple of hours. It's so good. I'm salavating right now! Oh and I added a little lemon juice to it, but I didnt think it was good, I would omit the juice
